THE REASON YOU WOULD MOST LIKELY BE SUCCESSFUL

I once held a tutorial class for some students, and shortly before the class would kick off,  i decided to ask a question.

 I said “how many of you would love to be great”, and, as you would expect, every one raised their hands.

Then I asked all of them to stand.
 And fortunately they all did,
 so for the next exercise I asked them to get a pen and a paper and write their picture of their personal greatness.

And they all started listing things like degrees, skills, money, cars and being celebrities.

I went home, thinking and trying to know if i would call most of the people who currently have those things “GREAT PEOPLE”,
 I then found out that even though all of them had Money, cars, degrees only a few could be called “GREAT”.

WHY IS THIS?
The truth is this;
 There is a THICK LINE between success and GREATNESS

Success has to do with attaining ‘your ‘ goals by using your skills and resources,  however I realized that success is very relative to a lot of factors, even while playing a mobile game , when you do well , during the course of the game , the game would usually write “YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL OR YOU MADE IT!”
You can buy a car and be called successful, you can buy a house and be called successful, you can become the best in your class or even be a first class student and be tagged successful
Success is PROWESS
However to be great, you must transcend the limits of success.

 GREATNESS is PROWESS +VIRTUE
That’s right! VIRTUE is the thick line between success and GREATNESS
 Its not enough to have prowess in an area and be called great, you must also have virtue!

Great people are people who have both prowess and virtue

Many may be wondering what i mean by virtue;

Virtue has to do with excellence, it has to do with character, virtue has to do with love for humanity, virtue has to do with wisdom, virtue has to do with service, virtue has to do with impact, Virtue has to do most especially with sacrifice!

Dear friend, Why choose between being successful and great?
When you can have both!

I’m not against being rich or wealthy, I hate poverty!

But “SUCCESS IS THE NEW AVERAGE!” The only thing that can cause you to transcend the limits of success towards GREATNESS, is VIRTUE

Subscribe to the school of virtue today!

And it’s only a matter of time; we’ll see you at the Very heights of Greatness

Thank you!
