SLOW AND STEADY FINISHES THE MARATHON
SLOW AND STEADY FINISHES THE MARATHON
I believe that everyone should be a dreamer!
I believe that everyone should be a goal getter!
I believe in achieving great feats early in life!
However, I also believe in the idea of staying till an appointed time.
I saw a recent post from @johnobidi
Where he said and I quote 'sometimes your ideas are just ahead of their time. Not invalid,but you. Are just too early. Occupy yourself with something else, but stay alert. When that train comes you'll be the first one on it."
This, I believe is true!
This message might be a bit controversial to most young dreamers because most of them are rushing through life , out of an imaginary pressure from society to prove a point to our friends and family.
I've been at that space before.
If you would notice from the topic of this write up. I said 'slow and steady finishes the Marathon'
The usual phrase would be, 'slow and steady wins the race'
There are two reasons I didn't use that;
1.life is a Marathon kind of race and needs to be noted
2.every individual has a personal marathon , that has no competition so ever, that was why I didn't include the word 'win' because the word win is usually relative to an opponent.therefore the word, 'finish' would be the right word to use.
My message;
•stop rushing through life!, Disarm the pressures that sponsors 'Rush', unless, You would get tired and eventually give up on the Marathon
• everyone and everything has an appointed time as stated in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Even Jesus at some point clearly noted at some point in his life that 'it wasn't yet time for something things in his life.
•sit down and plan.
•it takes time to finish YOUR marathon
•be consistent with your work (STEADY PACE)
•Think things through to the best of your ability ,before execution!
•Prepare yourself for your opportunities and dreams
Stay true, committed, disciplined and Alert!.
And it's only a matter of time, we'll see you at the highest level possible in life
